West

Though trees dot nearly the entirety of the island, the western region boasts the thickest, lushest vegetation of Salvos. With cool summers and mild winters, it remains a reliable source of freshwater year-round. The Scissura wanders westward at a relatively steady flow depending on the season, carving its way through the terrain over centuries with bordering hills and crags on either side. The upper end of this region rises into jutting, forested hills and cliffs, and the lower edge settles into rolling greenery and rocky beaches. Some say it is the oldest piece of Salvos, the foliage so dense and established that the western hemlock and redcedar practically breathes with its own set of mossy lungs.
